ABOUT EMILY BOND, MEd, LPC

I’m glad you’re here.

Choosing a therapist is personal. Professional experience matters, but so does feeling understood, respected, and able to speak honestly.

I strive to create a warm, thoughtful, and collaborative counseling relationship. My role is not to tell you who to be, but to help you understand your experiences, recognize the patterns affecting your life, and identify changes that feel meaningful and sustainable.

MY PATH TO COUNSELING

A Personal Path to Helping Others

My own meaningful experience with therapy helped inspire me to become a counselor. It showed me the value of having a supportive place to speak honestly, gain clarity, and begin making changes that once felt difficult or impossible.

I earned my graduate degree in counseling from Vanderbilt University in 2005. I began my clinical career at Centerstone in the Partial Hospitalization Program, working with adults experiencing severe and complex mental health disorders. In 2012, I opened my private practice in Nashville.

HOW I APPROACH THERAPY

Compassionate, Collaborative, and Tailored to You

Every client brings a different history, set of strengths, and reason for seeking support. I do not use a one-size-fits-all approach.

Therapy with me is conversational, compassionate, and engaged. I listen carefully and offer space for reflection while helping you identify connections between past and present experiences, recognize coping patterns, and consider new ways of responding.

Depending on your needs, our work may include:

  • Supportive talk therapy

  • Family-of-origin and relational exploration

  • EMDR

  • Grounding and emotional-regulation skills

  • Practical strategies for anxiety, stress, communication, and boundaries

  • A holistic consideration of thoughts, emotions, physical responses, relationships, values, and spirit

We will work at a pace that respects your readiness, and you will remain an active participant in decisions about your care.
